Being honest and being diplomatic can sometimes be difficult to distinguish. When selecting when to be honest and when to be diplomatically effective, we must exercise caution. We must also choose between being completely honest and using the truth as a matter of convenience.


The corporate environment and discussions that each of us encounters as adults are frequently tied to diplomacy. It is a characteristic of escapists or anyone who doesn't want to miss the chance to make their friends look good. But even at a very young age, the seeds of diplomacy are planted. These seeds grow into thick-rooted plants that wreak havoc on your life. 


You could occasionally find that being diplomatic prevents you from saying exactly what you want to say in a professional setting or prevents you from being loyal to your morals. Even though you want to be honest, you could worry that doing so will harm your reputation and relationships with other students.


However, this conflict between diplomacy and honesty also has an impact on your personal life. Personal connections always demand complete honesty, it is a well-known reality. We all want to be honest in both our personal and professional lives. To assure excellence, honesty absolutely prevails over diplomacy.


Between being sincere and being diplomatic, there is a fine line. It requires careful decision-making and is a difficult personal choice. The difficulty and frustration of giving and receiving diplomatic responses would depend on how severe the consequences would be if you choose to be honest.


According to my findings, the majority of people choose diplomacy because they wish to shield themselves from vocal and nonverbal criticism and steer clear of any kind of conflict. Thus, depending on whether you are being diplomatic or honest, or if you have the bravery to embrace both in your own life and learn to balance the fine line between being honest and being diplomatic, you have the decision to live a shallow or meaningful life.
