Here, I emphasise that one has the freedom to choose how to handle the unexpected curveballs that one's life presents. Refer this to the unforeseen practical difficulties that arise throughout one's existence & not the hypothetical curveball.
Ultimately, it is up to you how you handle uncertainty. It's the fact that no matter how well you prepare or plan, surprises will still happen, some will be pleasant, some will be annoying, and some will try your patience. One of the few things in life that is guaranteed is uncertainty.
Importantly, it's normal to feel happier if everything happened as planned or as anticipated, but life would also become monotonous, predictable, and stagnant. Growth, in my opinion, only occurs when you are stretched and forced to adapt in order to develop resilience during times of upheaval and the unexpected.
Determine not to blow your chance or let the stress really get the better of you. Stress won't make something better, but changing your viewpoint will. Take it as a message to quit attempting to achieve too much at once. The reality is that life simply whispers to you over and over again, but you have to listen intently to hear it.
The majority of people in this world are experiencing despondency, and the society is divided in its outlook on the future. One of the main cognitive distortions associated with depression that affects the future is the prevalence of negative beliefs about oneself. Being in this situation is difficult and should not be taken lightly.
Do you think the situation is as bad as you think it is?
Are there any bright spots between hope and the darkness?
Take a step back and consider the big picture. After processing your emotions and feeling hopeless, answer these questions and come up with ideas for how to get into a more optimistic mindset. Instead of feeling hopeless or like there is nothing you can do to alter the result, experience a sense of accomplishment.
Being truthful with yourself will help you grow rather than stoke the fires. Don't try to discourage or deny yourself; instead, choose things that you can positively impact and direct your energy towards them. This will offer you a positive sense of purpose in whatever way you can.
Your thoughts greatly influence your emotions, which in turn influence your behaviour. Your ideas have the ability to control the feelings that permeate your daily existence. Making life move smoothly might be simple at times, but it can also be quite challenging at others, and you must deal with each situation differently.
The quality of your thoughts determines how happy you are since they influence your emotions. You perceive the things that happen to you as positive, which makes you feel pleased. Your thoughts have a significant impact on your happiness because they interpret the events in your life.
However, keep in mind that when reality sets in, you may believe that there is just one interpretation and limited opportunity for compromise. You will undoubtedly run into problems with this mode of thinking as you go through life and acquire experiences.
Don't worry, things won't always turn out the way you expected them to. Life is full of unexpected turns and blind corners. Conversely, when you manage unforeseen circumstances easily, it's simply because your mind is focused on finding solutions. Even when the circumstances are the same, your thoughts force you to perceive them in a different way.
But every circumstance is real for the person going through it. Nothing matters, but how you understand those things matters. Decide to see it as something that merely happens and that needs to be corrected.
Things will go wrong in life, but how you interpret them greatly influences how you respond to them. Realising that your happiness is dependent on your optimistic mindset is advisable.
